The first group of formerly homeless people will be working the soil at Woodwynn Farm in Central Saanich within eight weeks, Richard Leblanc, Creating Homefulness executive director, said yesterday.
A philanthropist who wants to remain anonymous has committed to match every dollar donated between now and May 9, up to $150,000.

Woodwynn getting to work in the New Year!
As we look back at 2009, we are very grateful for an amazing seven months at Woodwynn Farms!

Four time Olympic rower, child advocate, and community champion, Silken Laumann has joined the Woodwynn Farms Board of Directors.
Silken brings to Woodwynn a wealth of board experience including chairing the International Board of Right to Play for six years, serving on the Nike Corporate Board, chairing the Lou Marsh Award and currently sitting on the board of Goodlife for Kids Foundation. Silken was involved with the Courage to Comeback awards both in Toronto and Vancouver...
