Amazing Volunteers at Woodwynn

An amazing Saturday at Woodwynn!!!!
On a cold, wintery Dec 5th, 73 volunteers braved the wind and cold and smiled all day long.
There was ice throughout ponds and puddles in the morning, yet the sun decided to reward folks by warming right up mid-day.
Volunteers demonstrating support for this project for the homeless thru your actions...this is so inspiring.
THIS is Creating Homefulness...Creating a Community...a Home ... for the homeless.
A group of students from Esquimalt High brought great energy to the day...they smiled all day and really busted their tails getting work done.

- Lise and Mike for making that wonderful veggie soup and bringing all those buns…no tour, no introduction just straight to the kitchen and not only did they provide all that food for us they stayed to serve and clean up as well!! We had nothing but wonderful comments on the soup and we fed 57 people lunch! Monique, Arielle and Lise made 50 sandwiches. Lisa made fudge and cracker toffee
- Our supervisors for the day…you ARE the backbone of our Saturday work parties: Barrett, Bennett, Bruce, Gordon, Jeanne, Monique, Nancy, and Tim D.
- LISA G…our Volunteer Coordinator…you totally rock.
